Connection

  • What should I do when the connection slows down or if it’s not optimal?
If the speed slows down, first you want to make sure that you haven’t reached your daily high speed quota from the main screen. If the quota hasn’t been reached, we recommend restarting the device. This will force the system to diagnose the local network and reassign a new SIM remotely to your device.
If the problem persists, please contact our customer service at service@jetfi-tech.com for immediate assistance.
  • Why does the signal icon show 3G even if the device supports 4G?
Jetfi uses mobile broadband infrastructure to provide the internet, which means if a location doesn’t have cell towers we are not able to connect. In the same token, if the area has only 3G towers, we can only provide 3G connection. However we do support 2 to 4 local operators which means we can switch between networks depending on which operator has the best infrastructure in a given location.
  • Can I use jetfi on a cruise?
Jetfi connection is not based on satellites, so you can only use it where there are cell towers. You can use your jetfi on port days. For coverage details please check here.
  • What should I do if I can’t get connected to the internet?
First thing you would want to do is to restart the device. This will force the system to diagnose the local network and reassign a new SIM remotely to your device.
